What:  KYSTE 2011 Annual Conference – Kentucky's premier educational technology conference, is designed to promote the use of educational technology to enhance teaching and learning. The KYSTE conference is sponsored and managed by The Kentucky Society for Technology in Education (KYSTE).  KYSTE’S mission is to empower the educational community in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to infuse technology as an integral part of the educational process through advocacy and leadership, promoting educational excellence and supporting technology-based innovation.  Please visit the KYSTE website for more information at www.KYSTE.org.

 

When and Where:  March 1 - March 2, 2011 - Galt House Hotel - Louisville, KY

 

 

Call for Presentations:   KYSTE 2011 invites you to submit an application to present a one hour session on Tuesday March 1st, or Wednesday, March 2nd.  The application form is available online at: www.tmcshows.com/KYSTE/PresenterApplication.htm.    Session content should focus on technology in education.  We welcome submissions from professionals in educational technology that represent any academically or technically relevant discipline.  In addition, we will allow vendor-sponsored presentations by industry experts.  As you prepare your proposal to present, please check all information for accuracy, completeness, spelling, and grammar. Information associated with accepted applications will be used for conference program materials, web pages, and other publications.

 

Selection Process: All applications to present will be selected by the conference selection committee based on the following criteria:
 

• Interest to conference attendees

• Content of presentation  

• Quality of presentation

• Completeness and accuracy of application

• Qualifications and experience of presenter

 

Presentation Content:  The KySTE Conference: IT's a Big Thing!
The following strands will be used to group sessions into specific learning tracks:

Each of these points in our theme will be the conference strands that sessions and exhibits will be geared toward. 

 

Presenters per Session and Application Notification:

Notification of acceptance will be via email to the main presenter listed on the application in early November.  A session may be presented more than once, and by more than one individual.  KYSTE is happy to offer one complimentary full registration to each main presenter accepted, including, upon request, tickets to all conference provided food functions as well.  Complimentary registration will only be provided for the main presenter.   Any co-presenters who wish to attend other conference sessions must register at the regular conference rate.

 

Application to Present: The final Application to present must be submitted online via our website located at http://www.tmcshows.com/KYSTE/PresenterApplication.htm.   You may list co-presenters on your application, however conference registration fees will be only be waived for the main presenter listed on this application.  All co-presenters must register for the conference and pay the full registration fee if they wish to attend other sessions or gain admittance to the exhibit hall.
